I Helped, Your Turn! - and why we hate it!

ALL MAFIA WARS PLAYERS: If you ask for more help on a friends job it stops your friend from progressing on that job and no one else can get the experience points for helping! It really doesn't help anyone! Please spread the word!

Names have been changed to protect the dubiously innocent

"I helped, your turn" = RESIST!

Posting these hurts more people than it helps.

That's the button you need to pretend does not exist. This is shown occasionally upon completing a job assist.

When you hit that button, it brings up the dreaded "I helped, your turn" post. If you get that far, hit skip.

The people that click on those posts do NOT get the same benefit you did. They get NO experience, and only $1,000 New York money.

Seriously - just $1,000. That's not doing anyone a favor. It's almost an insult. $1,000 New York money in Mafia Wars is the equivalent of a penny on the sidewalk. Not worth your time.

Remember how frustrating it is when you get this message?

Well that's another thing, when your mafia clicks on that "I helped, now it's your turn", it uses up one of their daily allowed job assists. All for no experience and very little cash, just because you wanted to hit the button. I'm aware that there are a few nay-sayers, who say that this isn't true. It IS. I've personally tested it.

Also, these useless posts add to the already high level of news feed clutter that people mindlessly post. That is, by far, the biggest peeve of many, myself included.

If you have a mafia member who has such an inadequate mafia that their jobs never get completed - do everyone a favor, don't hit the "Get More Help" button. Pimp them, instead. Pimping, with relation to Mafia Wars, is when you ask your other mafia members to add a specific person to their game. This helps expand everyone's mafia, which means more interactive game play and more opportunities for all.

Pimp. Don't Post.

Be good to your mafia, and they will be good to you. Be a pain your mafia's ass, you might just find yourself with a new pair of cement shoes.

To address the constant rumors of this post killing jobs - that has happened to me a few times when someone posted these off of one of my jobs. However: it is so infrequent, that I am not sure what actually killed the job, and I don't think it is the post itself. Suffice it to say, these posts still suck, for the original reasoning that there is no XP gained and only $1,000 NY cash.
